Safety

The race is being organized and managed by the experienced staff and volunteers of OUTWARD BOUND ROMANIA who will be working for you. Your safety is our primary concern.

  • Technical experts along the course will supervise your progress and work to ensure your safe passage;
  • Personnel will be stationed at checkpoints along the race route. They are trained and ready to take action;
  • Medical professionals will be on hand to take care of any serious injuries;
  • Experts specializing in adventure and nature sports will help supervise the event (PERPETUUM MOBILE Tourist Association) and,
  • Search and rescue people will be on hand to provide an extra measure of safety on the race course (including Romanian Salvamont members).

    However, the most important thing to remember is that your safety is ultimately up to you. Team members need to have basic knowledge of outdoor safety and first aid. Any non-Romanian participant with race injuries requiring hospital care will be transported to a local hospital, where YOU will be responsible for paying for those medical services. Therefore, medical insurance is REQUIRED for each non - Romanian team member. Failure to prove insurance coverage will disqualify a team member.
